Crosby Training Staff Go the Extra Mile at Packed City Jobs Fair

Christmas jobs fairs in Liverpool are always full to the brim with hopeful candidates looking to speak to employers, and this one – hosted at the City Centre Holiday Inn – was perhaps the busiest we’ve ever seen.

With over 1000 jobs on offer from more than thirty employers – including, JD Sports, The Entertainer, McDonald’s, Home Bargains, Boots, The Pound Bakery, Café Nero, and Tesco – it’s a good thing our staff were on hand with laptops, stationary, and (vitally) chocolate, to assist with both online and paper-based application forms.

Throughout the day, our team assisted on hundreds of applications and provided advice to candidates on everything from CVs and cover letters to interview clothes and relaxation techniques.

In amongst the crowds were our very own Crosby Training VIPs who – by taking part in our Pre-Employment Courses – gained early access to the event and could speak to employers before the doors were opened to the general public. Many of our special guests had attended our salon in the build up to the big day, and we were delighted to see how confident and prepared they all looked.

Danielle’s Job Trial

We would like to give a special mention to Danielle; who overcame her jangling nerves to secure a job trial and interview with Café Nero. It can be an extremely difficult to thing to speak confidently and professionally, especially if it’s been a long time since you last worked, so to see Danielle interacting with employers so effectively and positively.
